Felipe is a great swim instructor! He’s really positive, encouraging and patient, and makes you feel so comfortable while learning. Would highly recommend! Five stars to him.
The booking process at GetSetSwim was a little less smooth initially - they weren’t reachable over the phone, had my details wrong, and didn’t let me know my first class had been cancelled. Since then, though, they’ve been quite quick to respond and accommodating with change requests. The rest of my lessons went really well!

The facilities are excellent modern, clean and well maintained. There’s also a small playground, which is very helpful if you have a younger child with you while waiting for an older child’s swimming lesson. The swimming teachers are friendly, and the staff are generally pleasant.
Unfortunately, the booking and communication system really lets the experience down. It is extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone, emails can take a long time to receive a response, and even speaking to someone at reception can easily take 30 minutes as everything seems to move very slowly.
Making any changes to an existing booking can be a nightmare. On several occasions, my daughter has arrived for a lesson that I had already booked and paid for, only to be told they couldn’t find her booking. This can be quite uncomfortable and embarrassing for a child.
It’s a shame because the facilities and teaching are very good. With a more efficient booking system and better communication, the overall experience could be so much better.

We booked our son in for a Crash Course - he loved it so much we are now considering lessons if we can find time within all his school sports.
His teacher was lovely and the space is so nice - and clean (not likeswimming lessons I remember!).

My 5-year-old has been here for the last 3 months and absolutely loves swimming lessons here! especially with his instructor Felipe who is great, a fantastic instructor! He is patient, encouraging, funny and makes every lesson fun. It’s wonderful to see how much my child enjoys swimming, how confident they are becoming and how much progression he is making in the water. Highly recommend! Thanks Felipe!!

Our 6-year-old, who had some prior exposure to swimming lessons, did a crash course with Felipe. Felipe methodically coached my child throughout the week, and by the end of it my child went from being unable to float to swimming backstroke. My child also became extremely comfortable in the water and lost all fear of it, and is now excited to dive in and explore the pool. Felipe is an excellent instructor — he instilled confidence in my child, encouraged my child to push further, and showed how enjoyable swimming can be.

Our daughter has lessons with Felipe and learns so much with him. His instructions are clear and she makes great progress and has a lot of fun. This new site at Fulham has a great space to kill time before or after lessons and is well worth travelling to (there are other pools nearer us)

Felipe is a fantastic swim instructor! He makes every lesson fun while ensuring children learn important water safety skills and proper swimming techniques. My daughter loves her lessons and counts down the days until her next one. A huge thank you to the team at GetSetSwim Putney, and especially to Silvana, who went above and beyond to help us and always found solutions to our queries.
My daughter absolutely loves her sessions! The teachers are outstanding — they are attentive, well-being focused, and truly adapt to each child’s individual level, helping them grow at their own pace. There is a wonderful emphasis on posture, confidence in the water, and overall child development.
We also love the Water Safety Week, held three times a year, where the children come in their pyjamas — it’s such a fun and meaningful initiative that we really appreciate.
We have been customers for a year and a half now and couldn’t be happier. We look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with GetSetSwim Putney!

We chose this incredible swim school because we believe they teach optimally - we love that they use pool platforms so children can stand if too deep and that their teaching methods do not build reliance on floatation devices. We travel over 4 miles to get to the Putney club and happily do so.
We booked a 1:1 crash course for our child with Alessandro and were AMAZED! Watching Alessandro teach your child is like watching magic happening before your eyes, our child became a little fish in no time and took their first little unaided swim on crash course lesson 3! Alessandro has such a great calm and fun way with children, building their trust quickly and packs so much technique into the half hour lesson. A true expert. Our child now has weekly 1:1 lessons with him and is progressing so fast and loves the lessons - it's the highlight of our week!
It's a spotlessly clean and cocoon-ingly warm club (no chills for our child getting out of the pool!) Zalika and the other lovely receptionists and Anna the lovely attendant are all so kind and helpful and go above and beyond to help. The other swim instructors all seem lovely too. Rianna from head office is always super kind and friendly with queries and in helping us book. Overall very highly recommend - we feel we absolutely get what we pay for here.

My daughter completed yesterday her crash course in your Putney swimming pool.
Ralph, the teacher, has been amazing. She appreciated the kindness and gentle manners he used to teach her whilst being firm and she felt like she has learnt and improved a lot in such a short amount
of time.
The extra lesson she had with the manager, Samantha, was equally great!
The pool floor, changing rooms and toilets are always spotless.
It's a pleasure to attend GetSetGo and could not recommend it more!

I have been bringing my nephew for swimming lessons at Putney over the past few months. He swims with Jaden as his instructor, he has been very fun, patient and supportive with all the children. My nephew always looks forward to his lessons with Jaden. He has definitely progressed a lot under his guidance. Thank you Jaden for everything. We love coming here!

We are clients for more than 10y. I have 3 children and they all had swimming lessons with the same teachers since we join. My youngest still learning with Icaro and the results are amazing. My three kids had lesson with Icaro since they were little a. Icaro has been great teaching them great technique and keeping up their enthusiasm for the swimming. He has the most amazing way with children and knows exactly how to help them excel and tailored to each individual. His art of connection and playfulness makes my 4 year old look forward to his classes each time! At the beginning he always ensured comfort and understanding so my baby swam with me until trust was built. Now after several years Icaro is his absolute favourite teacher and he loves swimming so so much because of the unique teaching skills and fun coach Icaro provides each time. And a bonus now is that we see excellent results. Forever grateful for coach Icaro and is outstanding teaching skills!! Can’t wait for all my children to learn from him!

Icaro Del Mar is an excellent swim coach. He thought both my boys from the age of 3. They are 6&8 now. The 8 year old is currently swimming on his schools swim team and doing very well in all of the competitions. Icaro is very patient, fun but also firm when he needs to be. I could not recommend him more highly.

My daughter has been going to GetSetGo Putney since she was 4 months old. She now loves the water and swim lessons are the highlight of her week. Her teacher, Marcelo, is fantastic with her and all of the children. He is so kind and patient with them, and his lessons always provide a good balance of learning about water safety and fun. The facilities in Putney are great; plenty of space to shower and change, clean and warm.

Oscar and Spencer started swimming lessons with Marcelo in August 2025 and have gained confidence in such a short space of time.
Marcelo is a brilliant swimming teacher, with lots of patience and is great with the kids in general. The boys have a great bond with him too.

We absolutely love coming to getsetgo for my little ones swimming lessons. He’s been swimming here for a few years now. The instructor marchello somehow manages to keep the sessions fun & exciting for the children every week, which is pretty impressive! He is great with children, they are all very fond of him and love learning from him. Marchello also makes an effort to chat with all the parents/carers.

Shenay is probably one of the best swim coaches in the UK. She has a warm, patient approach that makes my 4-year-old feel safe and confident in the water, while still focusing on strong technical fundamentals. Our main goal was to help her be able to survive independently in the pool, and we’re already seeing real progress. Highly recommended! I do wish the pool had reliable parking at the door but I guess you can't have everything!

My daughter absolutely loves her swim lessons here! Her teacher, Marcel, is fantastic — always friendly, caring, and great with the kids. His lessons are so well structured that the 30 minutes fly by. The facilities are amazing and the staff are always welcoming. I’ve recommended this swim school to several friends already. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great babyswim experience!
We started babyswim lessons a few months ago when my daughter was 10 weeks old and she immediately loved them. Our teacher, Alessandro, is amazing with babies, he is so patient and connects very well with them. The classes are well structured, safe and very enjoyable for both babies and parents!
As a mom I also appreciate that the changing area is very well adapted for babies, with plenty of space, changing mats, bouncers… and always super clean thanks to Anna who is always helpful and welcoming!

Ralph was adept at helping our nervous child settle into their lesson - encouraging and fun, never pushy. He clearly has a very thorough knowledge of the core skills but it's really his ability to make the learning fun that makes him exceptional. Not only have they made fantastic progress but it's the highlight of their week! Another appreciation post for Anna too - she makes the post-swim juggle that little bit easier and her warm welcome has cheered me on many times.

Felipe is brilliant and I’m very grateful that he’s teaching my daughter. My 8yo daughter says that: ‘he never gives up on his students’, ‘he’s fun and kind’ and ‘he doesn’t care about getting his head wet!’ (Rather than just telling the kids what to do, he actually demonstrates the techniques to them in the water). She adds that ‘he is very descriptive’ (good at explaining and instructing). She always looks forward to her lessons. Thanks Felipe!

I just want to take a moment to appreciate the amazing lady who keeps GetSetGo so clean and welcoming! Not only does she do a fantastic job maintaining the place spotless, but she also goes above and beyond to help moms and little ones in every way she can. She’s always cheerful, reminding busy parents to take their belongings (which is so easy to forget when handling little ones!), and if something is left behind, she keeps it safe and somehow always remembers exactly who it belongs to! We’re really pleased with the excellent progress our 7-month old has made in her swimming lessons. Huge thanks to Marcelo especially and also the team at Get Set Go. Our baby is happy in the water & relaxed with a good amount of submerging. She readily reaches for the side of the pool. Felipe is a brilliant instructor! I can’t believe the progress our son made in 4 lessons and doing the backstroke already. He is calm and instills confidence in our son and a massive sense of achievement. He truly makes him feel calm and comfortable in the water, encouraging but in a calm comfortable manner. Our kids have been swimming with Get Set Go since their opening after COVID, and we've been consistently impressed with the quality of teaching. Every instructor we've had has been friendly, professional, and great with the kids. Recently, our daughter switched to Felipe, and he’s been fantastic – she loves her lessons and always has fun. Our son also enjoys his sessions just as much. Special mention to Ashton, Theo, Emre and Beth, who are both brilliant teachers too. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!

GetSetGo is amazing. Hands down the best place to take your baby, toddler or child for swimming lessons. The team are friendly and professional and all three of my children love their weekly seesions! It’s kept immaculately clean as well with great facilities. It’s so much better than where we used to go in London. Thanks to GetSetGo my twins can swim unaided at just three and our 18 month old is also a water baby. Swimming is really important to me as a swimmer and I only have positive things to say about GetSetGo. It’s also right by Putney Station and East Putney Underground and there is ample parking nearby so we find it a really convenient place to get to. Thank you everyone at GetSetGo!
